about me

For many years I have been fascinated about dog behaviour. In more recent years I made an investment to study them in much more depth.

I love spending time and working with them, and observing their characteristics and quirks, as well as understanding what they enjoy, but also what they struggle with. Part of my work is also to act upon what I see and to keep everyone safe, happy and in a position to learn. Any challenge a dog faces from time to time is done ‘together’ as a team with myself there to guide and support when needed, which helps a dog with their long term development and progression.

As a result of my ongoing studies which has developed my understanding what what  I see, I can really empathize with dogs and the struggles they endure, and truly appreciate how big a deal things can be for them.

I see things from THEIR perspective, and not just my own.

Creating a connection, developing trust and a bond between myself and the dogs is an important component in my work.

I am happy to work with all breeds, big, small and everything in between, and specialize in reactive dogs and 1:1 walking.

All my work in carried out in a positive, force free, kind and compassionate way. I do NOT use outdated methods, nor do I use and gadgets and gizmo’s which are often used as a form of control – instead I choose to use a correctly fitted harness that do not obstruct the natural movement of a dog and a line.

I use and am a stockist of the Perfect Fit Harness

I do not offer a quick fix, though from time to time due to the way I work a dog may show improvement quite early on, but the focus is always on finding and addressing the underlying cause of a potential issue, whilst working with patience AND at the pace of the dog.

My work is generally done in and around Halifax, West Yorkshire, covering areas such as Sowerby Bridge, Elland, Stainland, Holywell Green, Luddenden Foot, & Midgley, Sowerby, Warley, Northowram, Southowram, West Vale, Greetland, Barkisland, Krumlin to name a few, but I also work further afield if and when possible.
