Lead on

Connecting with dogs & Supporting People

Hi, I’m Phil Whiteley, founder and owner of Lead On, a professional service with a holistic, empathetic and compassionate approach.

Passionate about dog behaviour and communication, I decided to study them in more depth with two wonderful ladies, Sheila Harper and Winny Boerman.

In doing so I gained the qualification IPACS 1 (International Programme for Applied canine Studies) and I have  just completed IPACS 2, each taking approx. 2 yrs to complete, with a mixture of both theory and practical application.

My aim is to share their work through my daily practice with all the dogs I work with as well as passing on the knowledge to the owners too, as I truly believe in such a philosophy and way of being which impacts the dogs greatly in a positive manner but also promotes a more harmonious relationship for dogs and their owners.

I am also a member of ICAN (International Companion Animal Network) who promote positive, force free and ethical practices for dogs and animals in general.

Services offered

Currently the services  I offer include:

Dog Behaviour Walks (specialising in Reactive Dogs or any dog/owner in need)

Dog Walking (specialising in 1:1 walks)

Covering Halifax, West Yorkshire, covering areas such as Sowerby Bridge, Elland, Stainland, Holywell Green, Luddenden Foot, & Midgley to name a few, but I also work further afield if and when possible.

So, are you having issues with your dog?

* Are they aggresive towards others?

* Is your dog out of their depth and find it hard to engage in real life situations?

Feel free to contact me via the contact form page with your queiries and book a free discovery call to see how we may be able to help you, as well as letting us know what your aspirations and expectations are with your dog.

I am a professional member of The Dog welfare Alliance, and have taken their pledge of positive and force free intent

Street Paws

Outside of my daily work I also support the charity Street Paws, by volunteering for them as one of their photographers. Set up in 2016 in the North East, their outreach now sessions stretch across the UK, offering support to the four legged friends of people in need.
